Well, it's been a crazy journey, but I've finally completed 'EON: Beyond Tycho!' Now its on to the editing phase, and I'll publish a copy to the Amazon Kindle series page soon, listed online as a second installment in this series.

I've had a blast writing it, and I always love to inject a little humor into the otherwise very serious tones of hard sci-fi. The balance is a little tricky, but I think I got it about right this time. There's something naturally quite heart-rending to write dystopian fiction about our home solar system, so it feels good to keep it light enough for enjoyability at the same time I make a few statements.

It's been fun to make fun of Amazon and Jeff Bezos, and also Elon Musk, in this story, as I guess some of you noted in the chapter I released early here. Well, not just make fun, but really give 'em hell. Those guys are jokers anyway, so they deserve it. But this novel has also let me dive into the overall themes of this series much more in depth (including about the philosophical nature of the self, the role of AI and technology, space travel and transhumanism, and the hard question of human consciousness).

I guess this book has been a long time coming, actually. It's tough to believe it was eight years ago now I first published Part I 'Peregrine and Destructor.' I promise I won't wait another seven years to work on another installment in the series; actually, I've  got some great ideas for Part III already. I will come back to this tale with great relish, and soon.

But for now, I'll also return to some of my other pressing projects, after  I get this edit in the can that is and the book out into the world. I hope some of you will read it and enjoy it, and I'd love to hear from you about it. Writing is a collaboration with readers, so don't be shy.

I've got some great new stuff around the bend as always, and I'll keep you updated here about that. Until then, stay yourselves.

Hey all!

It's been an incredible experience working on EON: Beyond Tycho. I think there's real opportunity to speak to some big modern issues with this book, (A.I., Bio-ethics, corporate greed and folly, etc.) and I'm pulling no punches. Here's the dramatic continuation of the saga of the humanoid android, Taal, as she finds herself marooned in the desolate and unforgiving deserts of Mars. But, is this late explorer of the Red Planet truly alone amid its crimson wastes and brutal, frigid terrain, or could some lurking ghost be haunting the machine?

Hope You Enjoy,

Will
